Meet Our Founder and Leader
Chad B. Briand
Meet Chad B. Briand, the visionary behind Steel Structure Homes inc., ConstructionX inc., LandscapeX inc. and DesignX Studios inc.—a true entrepreneur, both in spirit and in action. More than just a business owner, Chad is a proud father of a 24 year old daughter and a 22 year old son. Described by those close to him as an introvert who’s passionate, driven and a creative individual with a drive to succeed. He’s friendly, loyal, caring, and respectful—someone who puts others before himself, yet is unafraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believes in, always staying on the right side of the law and the right side of business.
Chad’s construction journey spans over two decades, dating back to his high school years where he studied drafting and participated in construction courses. He built a multifaceted résumé by working in various fields—from landscaping to framing—before discovering BONE Structure while employed at RWH Construction in Fenelon Falls as a builder/project manager. For the past decade, he has built BONE Structure homes across Ontario, earning a reputation as one of Canada’s premier steel home builders. Although he originally developed ConstructionX to partner with BONE Structure in training new builders throughout North America, circumstances changed when BONE Structure closed its doors. Undeterred, Chad held extensive discussions with former BONE employees in hopes of reviving the venture, but ultimately concluded it was not feasible.
Refusing to relinquish his passion for steel-framed engineering, Chad founded STEEL Structure Homes to continue advancing the craft he had grown to master. Drawing upon the lessons learned from BONE Structure’s successes and setbacks, as well as his own extensive on-site experience, he is now fully committed to making STEEL Structure Homes the global leader in steel-framed, custom-engineered houses. With a focus on innovation, quality, and upholding the principles instilled in him from a young age, Chad is determined to reshape the future of homebuilding—one meticulously crafted steel structure at a time.
